Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan star in director Nora Ephron’s 1993 romantic comedy “Sleepless in Seattle.” Hanks plays Sam Baldwin, who moves to Seattle with his son after the death of his wife. Sam’s son calls into a talk-radio show to find him a new wife, a reporter in Baltimore (Ryan) hears Sam on the air and begins to develop an interest in him. This popular favorite also brought the 1957 film “An Affair to Remember” back into the pop culture lexicon.
