Stuntman turned director, Hal Needham helms this 1977 box office-hit staring the late Burt Reynolds, Jerry Reed, and Jackie Gleason, along with Sally Fields. Smokey and The Bandit feature Reynolds (the Bandit) and Reed as a daring, delivery duo. The team takes on a bet to deliver a beer shipment across state lines, which was illegal at the time. They have 28 hours to make it from Texas to Georgia with a tractor-trailer and the unforgettable black Trans-Am.
But along the way, they run into a few obstacles -- a pesky Sheriff Justice T. Beauford (the Smokey, Gleason) and a runaway bride (Fields). It is a high-speed chase full of tight turns, tricky getaways, and even some big car jumps! It is sure to get you laughing and your "lead-foot" itching for a race.
