Sunflowers & Sin, which consists of Lorra Amos on guitar and vocals and Kaitlin Casteel lead vocals, grew up on the outskirts of Greeneville, Tennessee. Country and bluegrass oozes from the foothills of these mountains, and became a huge influence for them. In high school, they became active in chorus, discovered the intricacies of harmonies, and the basic music theory behind the songs they loved. Although college separated them geographically, they always managed to gather around a fire or a kitchen table during breaks and holidays with a good bottle of Tennessee whiskey to play new and old tunes they'd been working on. They moved to Charleston on a whim in hopes of spending more time with each other, their music, and of course, the ocean!
